New Beginnings

Wow. It has been a while since I’ve updated - more than six months. Truth be told, I’ve not been sure what to say. The past year has been one of so much upheaval, uncertainty, challenge, and even tragedy. That sense has often been collective but, of course, is felt in distinct individual narratives as well. I have been proud and happy of some of the experiences that grew through the concrete this year: teaching at Penn State, “Waiting for the Host”, and adding tremendously to my “Los Weirdos” project. While 2021 continues to have some of the circumstances that abounded in 2020 it is, nonetheless, a NEW YEAR. A symbolic blank page. My hope, for all, is renewal. Renewed optimism, hope, possibility, grace, kindness, and goodness. 


I truly do not know what will be in store this year. If my posts here will be with the frequency of the previous years or if they’ll have similar content. I will, however, have a renewed faith that there will be more story to be told. New adventures that are met with humble unknowing and with open hearts.
