About Me
I was first moved by the power of performance during my shy, awkward, saggy-jeans and spiky-haired teenage years. Brando, Dean, DeNiro and other amazing actors, captivated my attention and filled up my soul; inspiring me to feel more connection to my own curious, diverse, evolving humanity as well as to other curious, diverse, evolving folks around me. Soon enough I made the leap from observation to participation. I first ventured into Theatre, later film and then commercials, voiceover and all the other areas it’s been my privilege to work in. Acting remains the passion that burns hottest in my soul and stages, sets and studios are not only places of work, they’re second homes.
My journey as an actor has taken me to many different “homes”. Whether it’s teaching improv exercises as part of English classes in Buenos Aires, Argentina, or acting in a cold, stony theatre in Dublin, Ireland, or taking on the voice of a fútbol announcer en Españoooool in an Austin, Texas recording studio; acting continues to be a magical, almost sacred, experience for me. A beauty of being a professional actor is that this title has room for all my various artistic passions.
The creative process is one that I cherish and respect whether it’s as an actor, an acting coach, teacher, director, writer, musician, songwriter or singer. It doesn’t take too long before my fingers itch to be around a classical guitar, flipping through new music books, or clicking around for a new album to add to my playlists. I find myself profoundly humbled by the patience, listening, and concentration that this process simultaneously demands and inspires.
While I’m Carolina born and California educated, I’m very fortunate to be a recent grad of Penn State’s MFA program and a resident of lovely New York City. Although I am not always certain what the next adventure will be I am always excited to meet it. On that note, I love traveling and below are some selects from a few past adventures!
